TTS Tool is operated by LSD Software. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the tools on ttstool.com. Linked services and tools on other sites or subdomains may have their own privacy notices.

Text and speech processing

When you play or download speech using the main TTS Tool, your text, voice selection, and speech settings are sent to our hosted service at support.readaloud.app to generate and deliver audio. Processing may involve the speech provider you select, such as Amazon or Microsoft. Cloud speech conversion is not performed entirely on your device.

The separate Amazon Polly and Google Wavenet tools send synthesis requests from your browser to the respective provider using the account credentials you supply. The provider's privacy and data-processing terms apply to those requests. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information that is not needed for your narration.

Temporary storage and diagnostics

The hosted tool temporarily caches submitted text and voice settings in server memory and saves generated audio files so they can be played or downloaded. The service is configured to expire these cached parts after one hour and run cleanup every five minutes. Cleanup can be delayed by service interruptions or errors; this is not a guarantee that every copy is deleted at exactly one hour.

Diagnostic records are separate from that temporary cache. When debug logging is enabled, a text excerpt may be logged; a failed synthesis may include the submitted text in an operational alert. These records and any speech-provider records are not covered by the one-hour cache expiry. Contact us with questions about retention or deletion of a particular submission.

Browser storage

The site uses local storage to remember your dark-mode preference. If you choose to remember your credentials in the Polly or Wavenet tool, those tools store them in browser cookies with a seven-day expiry. You can remove stored site data through your browser settings; doing so also removes saved preferences and may reset consent choices.

Usage information and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand site usage, including page visits, traffic sources, approximate visitor locations, devices, and engagement. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. Hosting and other service providers also receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, when your browser makes requests.

Pages may load fonts, scripts, or styles from providers including Google and jsDelivr. These providers receive the technical information needed to deliver those resources. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to support the site through advertising. Where ads are served, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using visits to this site and other websites.

You can manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center. Other advertising companies may offer their own opt-out controls; you can also visit YourAdChoices to opt out of participating companies' personalized advertising. Opting out of personalization does not necessarily remove ads.

Consent and privacy choices

We use Google's consent management platform for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. When the message is displayed, you can consent, decline consent, or manage individual purposes and vendors. The message includes information about participating advertising partners and their privacy policies.

To revisit your choice, use the privacy and cookie settings link provided by Google's consent message on the main tool page, when available. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser, although this may affect site features. This privacy page does not load analytics or advertising scripts.
